Similar to the Curse of Contradiction, which was harbored by the black wizard Zeref and the fairy tactician Mavis, is the Curse of Compassion. As punishment for falling in love with the black wizard, Mikal is cursed; the more she falls in love with someone, the more pain will be inflicted by her touch. By mere coincidence, Mikal meets Rogue Cheney, a Sabertooth member in Fiore. After deciding to join the guild, Mikal soon realizes she's falling hard for the shadow dragon slayer. Will she be able to break her curse before she gets too close to him, or will she have to bury her feelings and leave the guild before its too late?

Rogue has been in love with his bestfreind and partner, Sting, but Rogue realizes Sting doesn't feel the same when Sting starts dating Yukino. He says he shouldn't be mad at yukino, but in a way he blames her. Seeing his lover with someone else, he goes into a depression. He realizes loving sting was a mistake. Sting dates yukino, but after a while he sees that his best friend is acting different, feelings start to grow, and Sting realizes he made a mistake.

Scorpia and Ryos always work together, ever since that day when they were 12 years old, 7 years ago. Ryos is always serious, but Scorpia still has a crush on him. Ryos would never fall for her. They have many adventures and learn some things along the way. Twists and turns may happen, but they are always proud Sabertooth mages!
