The dragons of Pyrrhia have lived in somewhat peace after the War of SandWing Succession and the defeat of the ancient NightWing legend, Darkstalker, even though these events have happened generations ago. Despite this, a storm brews between the dragon tribes that threatens to break and plunge hundreds of dragons into yet another war. Between the dissapearance of a beloved NightWing Queen and a RainWing animus, a royal death on a border, and disputed territory, no dragon is fully safe. There are fewer humans in the world than you may think. The truth is that many of them aren't human at all: merely close to human. Not all of them are on Earth, of course: they generally take residence in various pocket dimensions, and those who do live on Earth are secretive about their species. Most of them just want to live in peace. Most of them. Sable isn't an "angel"-not in the religious sense, at least. But she's about as close as it gets. And now she's been kicked out of "heaven" thanks to her own mistake, relocated to Maine, and tasked to work as a diplomat between various almost-humans. The only problems: a boy named Alex gets caught up in the mix, a "demon" girl is her only source of income, and, as it turns out, she's not the only almost-human in town. Follow Sable, Alex, and their group of friends as they work towards getting Sable back into heaven and keeping Maine from a supernatural doom.
