Nathaniel Kurtzberg est un étudiant timide et intelligent de la Shrewsbury International School à Bangkok, en Thaïlande. Un beau gars, Marc Anciel, est un étudiant thaïlandais et un mannequin fashionista et également populaire à Bangkok. Il est amoureux de son meilleur ami, Nathaniel. Marc est gay et a utilisé Marinette comme fausse petite amie pour avouer ses sentiments à Nathaniel. Ses parents ne connaissent pas sa sexualité et il ne veut pas leur dire qu'il est gay parce qu'il ne veut pas être rejeté par eux. Un autre garçon étranger (franco-taïwanais) nommé Adrien Agreste, est amoureux de Marinette et Luka, le frère aîné de Juleka. Luka est bi et aime Adrien et Zoe, une nouvelle étudiante coréenne-américaine. Un étudiant noir de Philadelphie, Max, est également gay et amoureux de son colocataire, Marc. Marinette a dit que Juleka est une amie ou... plus qu'une amie. Juleka et Sabrina sortiront-elles ensemble ? Marientte sortira-t-elle avec Nathaniel (Caprikid), Adrien ou Juleka ? Marc avouera-t-il ses sentiments pour Nathaniel ? Luka et Zoe sortiront-ils ensemble ? Max a-t-il dit à Marc qu'il l'aime avec l'aide d'Alix (étudiant asexué et aromantique pakistanais- japonais) ?
