Denki was always the class clown that everyone thought was always happy and easy going but in reality he was dying , when no one would be looking his smile would disappear and when he was alone he would cry and cry and cry , cutting his life away with the only thing he called his friend ,drugs .

in this story Denki is Depressed, but he is in denial about it. his friends don't seem to notice, but when Hitoshi Shinsou enters the class he feels something is off about Denki. Hitoshi decides he is going to get close to Denki and try to help him, though along the way he will find himself falling for Denki.
