Naruto recalls his youth and past life leading up to his current days as Hokage. He recalls his struggles and friends and worries that he simply just is not in love with his wife, Hinata. Sasuke, on the other hand, knows his own wedding is a sham. He can't bring himself to truly love Sakura, and the two find themselves thinking of the one other person they relate to the most, the one person they consider a best friend, each other.

Roommates by accident lovers by choice. Dee, the "human" alchemist, and Jake, the red panda artist, run away from their past and try to start over. They two attend different schools, but when Jake's friends come over for the first time, the friend group called the Arts and Potion-Crafts forms, and their lives chang for the better. The two bond over, and try to help with each other's family troubles. They navigate through alchemical mishaps, their pasts catching up to them, and, day by day, love.
