This is in an original fantasy world full of elves, dwarves, men and more i have made and curently am still making, Armet. The Lost Islands are but a small part of this vast unfinished world. There are and will be songs in the book. The first one is not mine but all the others are so far.

My name is Captain Kray Overture, and I am a pirate. My mother met my father when he took her prisoner on his ship. I don't know anything about my mother except that she must have been beautiful enough to have my dad let her live. She was forced to work on his ship, cooking and cleaning day in and out while my father repeatedly tried to talk her into bed with him. Even though they could have killed her at any time, she always made the right decision and held her ground against him. My dad loved the chase, how she punched him when they first met, and that she never tried to jump into the sea. In his eyes, she was waiting for him to be a better man for her. He never told me how he did it. I don't believe he ever did, but here I am. My father told me she died when I was a baby. Apparently, she got sick a little while after I was born, leaving my dad and his crew to take care of me. They taught me about swords and the sea, and even gave me my own aquake. Eventually, we had to send my dad floating, and I was just another pirate on the ship. For twelve years, I worked and fought my way up the point where I became the captain of his boat, then for another six, I led the crew of Lyra's Ravager to kill and steal from whatever unlucky soul found their way into the Banred sea. It's a shame that now they're all dead, and I'm stuck in the brig of a damned Conoal frigate. _________________________ Paused
