The all too common phrase, "Opposites attract", symbolizes a relationship between two individuals with differing traits and characteristics. Surely if such a phrase existed there had to be a counterpart, right? Something along the lines of, "similar people attract?" Regardless of the simplistic and terrible phrasing, you must see what's being implied here. Yes, this is a story of how two similarly situational late-aged teenagers are drawn to each other as they explore pre-adulthood. Note: I'm fully aware I don't own Shingeki no kyojin nor do I discredit the author and creator, Hajime Isayama.
