    - The one intending to perform salatshould stand facing the direction of the Qiblah, being fully aware that he is standing before Allah, The most High, and with utmost humility.- He then makes the intention in his heart to offer prayer, but it is not permissible to say this intention out loud, because that is an innovation. He (the Prophet) (may the prayers and peace be upon him) has said that actions are by their intention, and there is but for each man that which he has intended. [ Source: Agreed upon.]- Then he raises his hands to be level with his shoulders or ears, saying: "Allahu Akbar." [ Source: Muslim.]- Then he places his right hand over his left on his chest, holding the left hand with the right. [ Source: Ahmad.] source: islamkingdom

1- It should be prayed as a two-raka'at Salat with neither the Adhan nor Iqamah. Recitations in both raka'ats are said aloud. 2- The person observing this Salat says the takbeer seven times in the first rak'ah after the initiating takbeer. In the second rak'ah, he says five takbeers apart from the one he says while standing up from the prostration. 3- He raises his hands with each takbeer, praises Allah and extols Him. He also seeks blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ between each takbeer. 4- After the Salat, the imam delivers a single sermon in which he seeks a great deal of forgiveness and recites Al-Qur'an over and over. Thereafter he supplicates, saying many of the authentic supplications of the Prophet ﷺ, with insistence, showing humility, helplessness and demonstrating how powerless he is in front of Allah (the Most High), raising his hands up even higher (than he does in ordinary supplications). 5- The imam faces the Qiblah, turns his cloak inside out, placing what is on the right on the left, and that of the left on the right, while he continues to supplicate to Allah.

Everything mentioned in the manners of Salat, apart from the conditions of Salat and its essential and compulsory parts, are all recommended acts. Omitting any of this does not affect the validity of Salat; and it is not mandatory to prostrate due to forgetting when any of them is left out.

1- Supererogatory salat causes Allah to love His servant more. It has been revealed in a Qudsi Hadeeth that Allah, the Exalted, says: "A servant of Mine continues to draw near to Me with supererogatory works until I love him. Thus when I love him, I will be his ears which he hears with, his eyes which he sees with, his hands which he holds with and his feet which he walks with. If he asks Me, I shall grant him his request, and if he seeks protection from me, I shall protect him." [ Source: Al-Bukhari.] 2- Supererogatory prayers make up for the deficiencies in the obligatory prayers. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Indeed, the first thing to be judged of mankind's deeds on the Day of Resurrection is his As-Salat. Our Lord (Great and Exalted be He) will say to His angels, although He knows better (than them): 'Look into the Salat of my servant, did he perfect it or was he deficient in it?' If it was perfected, it will be written so. However, if it is deficient in any way, He (Allah) will say: 'Look into his deeds, does he have any supererogatory acts?' If he does, He says: 'Make up my servants' obligatory acts from his supererogatory ones,' and the rest of his deeds are treated similarly." [ Source: Abu Dawud.] 3- Supererogatory Salat is best performed at home It is better to observe any supererogatory Salat at home than in a mosque, except for those for which praying in congregation is recommended, such as at-Taraweeh in the month of Ramadhan. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Indeed, the best Salat (performed) by a man is that which he observes in his house, except for the obligatory ones." [ Source: Al-Bukhari.]

1-Talking is forbidden when the imam is delivering the sermon on the day of Jumu'ah. This is evidenced by the Prophet's ﷺ statement: "When you say to your partner on the day of Jumu'ah "quiet" while the imam is delivering a sermon, you have indeed uttered a useless statement" [ Source: Al- Bukhari.] 2-It is discouraged to walk between seated people, except if the person is the imam or he walks to fill an empty space which he cannot get to except by walking between them.

Both of them are two signs, among the numerous signs of Allah, which He uses to remind His servants, so that they can return to Him in repentance. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Indeed the sun and the moon are not made to eclipse because of the death of anyone nor his life (birth), but they are two signs from the numerous signs of Allah that He uses to frighten and remind His servants. Thus when they eclipse, then hurry to (perform) Salat." [ Source: Abu Dawud.]

1- It is important to choose, for the purpose of bathing the deceased, someone that is trusted, just and knowledgeable about the rulings of the funeral bath. 2- Priority is given to the person appointed or entrusted by the deceased (before his death), then the relatives according to their closeness, on the condition that such a person knows the rulings of the bath; otherwise a more knowledgeable person is chosen for the task. 3- A man bathes men and a woman bathes women, and any of a married couple can bathe the other. This is due to the Prophet's ﷺ statement to A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her): "You would not be harmed if you were to die before me, as I would wash you, shroud you, pray over you and thereafter bury you." [ Source: Ibn Majah.] A man or woman can bathe children below the age of seven; but it is forbidden for any Muslim - male or female - to bathe an unbeliever, carry his remains to the funeral, shroud or offer funeral prayer over him, even if this unbeliever is a close relative, such as his father. 4- A martyr who died during a battle is not to be bathed, shrouded or prayed on, but he should be buried in the clothes in which he died. 5- When an aborted fetus - a child that is born of its mother before complete formation, male or female- reaches four months, it is to be bathed, shrouded, prayed over and buried, because after four months it has become a human being. 6- The water used to wash the deceased's body must be pure and legitimate, and the deceased must be bathed in a covered place, just as the presence of anybody not having any business with the bathing process is to be prevented.
  • Ruling Concerning Congregational Prayer by islamkingdom

The Shari'ah prescribed the observation of Salat in congregation for men who are capable, and warned against its abandonment. The Prophet ﷺ had wished to set fire to those who did not attend it, and he did not allow the blind to abandon it. The proofs for these are: 1- Allah's statement concerning Salat while in fear (eg. on a battle field): "When you (O Muhammad) are among them and lead them in the prayer (Salat), let one party of them stand up (in Salat) with you" (An-Nisa: 102). Therein, Allah, the Most High, decreed congregational Salat while in fear or on a journey; hence, congregational prayer during the period of safety and residency (not traveling) should be more mandatory. 2- The Hadeeth reported by Abu Hurayrah t, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The most burdensome of all Salat on the hypocrites is that of Fajr (Dawn prayer) and 'Ishai (Night prayer). If they knew what is there in (reward), they would have attended it, even if they needed to crawl to it[ Crawl: Crawling on all fours to it.]. Indeed, I wished to order that Salat be called, then for it to be just about to be prayed, and then order a man to lead the people in prayer. Thereafter I would go with some men bearing fire-wood to those who did not observe Salat and burn their houses over them (while they are inside)." [ Agreed upon.] The Prophet ﷺ would not have wished to incinerate those who did not join the congregation except if it is compulsory to pray in congregation, and would not have described them as hypocrites if (what they ignored) is not compulsory. 3- The hadeeth of the blind man who sought permission from the Prophet ﷺ to pray at home because he had no guide. However, the Prophet ﷺ said: "Do you hear the call to the Salat?" He replied: "Yes." Thus the Prophet ﷺ said: "Then heed it." [ Source: Muslim.]
