Sam and Dean Winchester are investigating a series of mysterious deaths in a small town in Ohio. The victims all have strange symbols carved into their skin, and each one was found in a position that seems to suggest they were tied to some sort of ritualistic death. With no clues pointing to the typical supernatural suspects-like demons, ghosts, or wendigos-Sam and Dean are stumped.
Meanwhile, Percy Jackson is on his own quest nearby, tracking a monster that's been terrorizing demigods in the area. Percy, however, is unaware that the creature he's after isn't just a regular monster from Greek mythology-it's something that Sam and Dean have faced before, but with no clear understanding of its true nature. Percy has no idea who the Winchesters are or what they're doing, and he finds their methods strange, particularly their reliance on guns and technology instead of magic and weapons like swords or shields.
When the two groups collide, it's not pretty. Percy and the Winchesters are both ready to fight one another because they don't understand each other's methods. Percy thinks Sam and Dean are just regular hunters, while Sam and Dean are suspicious of Percy's strange abilities and his seemingly untrained fighting style. After a tense confrontation, they realize they're both hunting the same creature-and that they'll need to work together to take it down.
