Samarayoung Geschichten

Just a short drabble I wrote for the Charm chat on the official Let's Play Discord server. This scenario is based on the possibility of Charles accepting the job with Ellesmere, and takes place about six months following his move to London. Opens on his way to a charity ball, feeling particularly doleful and overwhelmed by the complexities of all that he'd misconstrued. By the prospect of moving forward with a certain Young weighing heavily on his mind.

Taking place almost a year from where the webcomic "Let's Play" by Mongie is presently, the CharlesXSam ship had docked and their relationship lay in the healthiest of positions as Charles and Samara reunite after a long span of time spent away from each other due to work purposes. Without much thought, the couple allow their emotions to spill out on the airport floor as they reconnect after the brutal months that swallowed the pair in loneliness and homesickness. Tick Tock!

Another drabble I wrote for the Charm Chat on Discord, this one, leaning on the angstier side of things. Following what is presumed to be an incredibly stressful day, for the story picks up in the hospital a few hours after Samara has suffered from a particularly severe asthma attack. An event that seems to have altered everything for Charles, it being the first time he's seen her on the brink of death. The first time he's come to realize how fragile her life truly is, and how important it is to him that she spend it on dreams, prospects, and people worthier than himself. Parallel to the infamous goodbye scene between Will and Stella in "Five Feet Apart," Charles decides to say goodbye to Samara as she's relying on a ventilator to breathe. Breaking the news, that he would be taking the job at Ellesmere after all. That he didn't have the heart to let her make the mistake of wasting any more time on a flight risk, such as himself. While a ten year period carries its own evolution in light of growth and experiences, there are things which will oftentimes require a closer look than what's alluded upon its surface along its course. Samara knew as much for the past that lay behind them. And, despite however ready she felt for their ceremony to merge their lives as one, Charles proves to be in need of a certain comfort before he's sure. Afraid that his Bunty might harbor disillusions borne of the mere chances she has at being happy with him, forever. The stress of said query making itself next to unbearable to overcome following the day's plentiful mishaps. Samara is seldom uncertain when faced with the doubts of her impossibly stubborn Welshman, though. In fact, if she were to testify to her own knowledge gained following the subsequent decade, she'd start with the irrefutable fact that there would never be another happy day in her life without Charles Jones being there to share it with.
