Chaol Westfall returns to Erilea with someone who couldn't possibly be alive, but he is and he's looking for Celaena Sardothein. Even though Arobynn has long been killed, it looks like he had one more secret he thought he took the grave.

Based on page 333 of "The Assassin's Blade" by Sarah J Maas I was recently re-reading "The Assassin's Blade" and a line that Sam says to Celaena on page 333 made me think about how love like that can transcend death. Short story exploring Sam's spirit being present throughout events following "The Assassin's Blade." A fanfic about one of the best and cutest (atleast according to me) ships in Throne of Glass. A small and secret moment shared by Samlaena - a ship that sadly wasn't endgame.

A Throne of Glass series fan book. If you don't read the TOG series, or don't even know what it is, you won't understand a single thing in this book. Oh and, if you haven't read the full series yet or haven't at leat read the third book yet, better not read this book. It may have spoilers. Most of the fan art and stuff in here I got from the internet.

Arobynn has threatened to kill Celaena if Sam doesn't do one more job for him. But could he trust Arobynn? Definitely not, he knew that much. But when he returned to the apartment Celaena had been gone just like Arobynn claimed she would. So Sam was forced to travel to a faraway continent to gather information on a highly respected family. To him that was a small price to pay if it meant that he and Celaena could move on with their lives and forever leave the Guild and Arobynn behind. Meanwhile back in Rifthold, unbeknownst to him, Arobynn has faked Sam's death and Celaena was shipped off to Endovier. Lying to them both. Years pass and Sam suddenly stumbles upon someone he least expected to meet.

So I have a couple headcanons I'd like to share or write out. Their probably gonna be "What if"s but whatever it's happening.

Sam reflects on his time watching Celaena go through all her suffering and hardships, and blames himself for not being there.

AU where Sam lives. Follows the adventures of Celaena and Sam in the southern continent as well as Dorian, Nehemia, Chaol, and Nox in Erilea (and more, along with a few OC's).

If Sam and Nehemia had somehow faked their deaths and met in another continent, this would be their story. They do end up getting back to the continent and meeting up with Aelin and co, but it starts off somewhere else.
