This story faces the troubling question of how the 2k3 episode, Same as it Never Was, actually happen? How did they fall apart? How did Shredder take over? And most of all, why did they give up? Their world is truly inflicted with a sickly twist as the years pass, everything seeming to be lost all at once. Note: This story is set in the 2k3 series world, the same dimension that Same as it Never Was had been set in. It includes the previous events that lead up to the events during the episode.
