Frodo and Sam are inseparable, everyone knows that. But after the quest, without the burdensome ring blacking out Frodo's mind, their feelings to eachother grew bigger than ever before. They love eachother and are happy, but sometimes it feels like the ring is still there, burning his neck and mind. He knows that if he stayed here the dark thoughts from the ring will haunt his mind, but can he leave the one he loves the most ?

He wonders-not for the first time-if Bilbo knew this too, and if the stories he filled Frodo's young head with were purposefully absent of all that is dark and dismal. Death and destruction replaced by hope and victory. Meant to inspire, yet shield him from the true tragedy that accompanies a hero. If he can even call himself one.
