From that fateful day, Sam was more careful. He didn't want to worry Luc. He followed his rules diligently, certain that they were a sign of his love. Occasionally, however, he fell into error. He got distracted, he suffered some setbacks, something slipped from his hands. And Luc was not particularly prone to forgiveness, if not preceded by the consequences of any disappointment. Sam learned that there are different types of bruises and how long each of them takes to heal. Slaps, punches, kicks, various tools. Sam learned to cover the marks on his face, to wear long-sleeved shirts more often and to carefully evaluate the opportunity of each visit to the pool. Most of all, however, he learned to pretend. With friends, colleagues, even with his brother. He knew that none of them would understand the way he and Luc managed their relationship.

Sam Winchester has just moved to New York. He finished Law School, interned in a few law firms, and was hired at Crowley Law Offices. On the first day, a man walks in and insists that the young Winchester takes his case. Lucifer Novak is a lot of things, but innocent is not one of them. As the CEO of one of the biggest companies in New York, he has a lot of blood on his hands. He just hopes Sam can clean it up.

Sam lives in a world where most people have an animal tied to their soul. These animals are referred to as Anima. An Anima does not show itself until it's human is five years of age. An Anima has many abilities; shape-shifting and teleportation being two. They have the ability to shape-shift up until their human meets their soul mate, at which time the Anima will permanently shift to resemble their human's mate. Now there are a few unfortunate humans who have no physical soul. These humans are known as Tyrants. Tyrants are few and far between, at most there are about a hundred in the world at a time. Since the Tyrants do not have an Anima, they receive the abilities that their Anima would have had. Although a Tyrant can shape-shift, it is not known if they settle shapes as an Anima does as no Tyrant has even been known to find their mate.

PROLOUGE As Dean and Castiel’s relationship blossoms, Sam does many unthinkable and disappointing events. Sam is fighting the dark side every day and the question is will he give in or fight the urge of all consuming power? While Dean and Cas have a roller coaster of a relationship, will it ever last? After Sam kills Lilith at the end of season 4 he would have never imagined getting sent back into the past. How? He doesn't know. What he does know however is his parents are alive... Is it a cruel joke God is playing with him? Starting the apocalypse and releasing Lucifer onto the world and this is what he receives?

Lucifer has a special power. He is able to stop time and in his opinion that's definitely not a bad thing. Sam, who for some reason isn't affected by Lucifer's power,has a different opinion and tries to persuade the other boy to use his powers for the greater good. But neither of them expected the change in their relationship, that starts taking place.

Cas woke up to the sound of classic rock music. "Ugh, who the hell is playing that damned music?" Cas asks himself as he looks out the window. He see's a boy that looks his age, a boy who looks a little younger, and their father. "Ah good, you're up." Cas's mother says. Cas turns around. "Yeah, I am. What do you need?" Cas asks. "I talked to the father of the new neighbors and he said he has two boys. Luckily one is your age so you won't be alone!" "I like being alone." "I don't care! I told the father that you're going to help them unpack while I make some pie. The father said that was their eldest's sons favorite dessert." "So you're going to make them fatter than they already are?" Cas says with an attitude "CASTIEL!" "get out so I can get dressed." "Okay." His mom says walking out of his room. She closes the door so he can have some privacy. Cas puts on his clothes then he goes downstairs and smells pecan pie. "Smells nice mom," Cas says. "Yes it does, now get going!" "Bye," Cas says walking out the door and closing it before his mother can say something back. Cas walks to the house next door and the closer he gets to the house the louder the classic rock he woke up to gets. The chapters will be posted on Fridays:)

Whenever your soulmate gets a tattoo, bruise, or scar, you have it too. 24 year old Sam Winchester thought he didn't have a soulmate, he didn't have words on his arm, and he never had mysterious marks anywhere on his body. One day, his friend and co-worker sees a tattoo on his arm. He knows he has a soulmate now. Just wondered if it was his fate not to meet his soulmate because there was no words. Maybe Sam could change his fate though. Lucifer Novak was mute, part of the PTSD he got because his father locked him in his room for seven years, only giving him one meal a day and one cup of water every week. When he was seventeen, his younger brother, Castiel, found him and called the cops. Castiel grew up thinking that Lucifer had runaway when he was younger, and was so happy he found him. Lucifer is now 24 and hasn't spoken since he was locked in the room. One day, Lucifer decides to get an angel wing on his forearm because his father always called him the devil whenever he got his food. He just wanted to prove him wrong. His soulmate tattoo scared him. He knows he'll do something wrong to his soulmate. "Maybe you should leave," was what his tattoo said. He knows that it's his fate to do something bad to his soulmate. Maybe Lucifer could change his fate.

Oh, the conversations that ensue when Dean and Cas are alone in a hotel... But what happens when Sam overhears?
