Helen sniffled, bringing her hands up to wrap her fingers around his wrists. "I don't think I'll ever deserve you," she confessed, "but I do love you." And how could she not? Pat was more than she could have ever hoped for in a partner. Pat's movements stilled, and he left his lips hovering just over her own. "We'll have to work on the first part of that statement," he mumbled. "The second part, however . . . well, I'm glad, sweetheart. I love you too." And she knew he truly did. *** Helen is proud to be a journalist; she's prouder still to be the writer of her city's favorite advice column. Will she gather the courage to fight back? Will that be enough...?

The following is the script for the story Zenith Ocean, a machinima (short film created in a video game engine) created by my team for the Interactive Machinima class. I was the Narrative Lead on the project and this was our final script draft.

Many think the legenders are a myth, and no one suspects that Arkos—the reclusive artisan who carves animal bones—is one of them. Arkos’ life of solitude, however, is drastically changed when the ancient city in which he lives is struck by a great terror and the old myths begin to resound once more. As plots and danger arise, Arkos is swept up into an adventure that takes him into the dark unknown, and along his journey he learns that the true nature of his being runs much deeper than he had come to believe.
