A childhood friend of Sam and Dean Winchester's is brutally murdered by a demon, leaving behind his two small children and pregnant wife. The boys are called over to assist her investigation in the murder because the demon has taken possession of a local boy who had disappeared the week prior. Dean knows the young widow from a hunt he and John went on shortly after Sammy went to school, but it's Sam who ends up developing a deep bond with her and her children. He denies all this, as he's painfully aware of what happens to any girl who grows to be sweet on him. When Dean's coveted Impala turns into a human girl however, it was a whole new type of weird that nobody was ready for, especially the Impala. What caused it? Nobody knew. Who caused it? Nobody knew that either. Her only instructions? Save Sam and Dean.

Liam, a detective trying to move up in the ranks and gain respect, is thrust into a new case that has her in over her head. Blaire, a nurse with a penchant for curiosity, is suspicious of the new FBI agents who are passing through town and asking too many odd questions.
