Morgan, A D tier villain in capital city, has caught wind of a heist being planned at the lair of Alex, an S tier supervillain. They are going to get there first. The mission is deadly, but for Morgan, the prize is much to sweet to turn down. This is an alternate universe interpretation of how S and D tier might have met. (It was originally potential OU material, but a video posted today by @lighthouseraiders on Tiktok contradicts a small detail halfway through, and I'm to lazy to go back and change it.)

If the most powerful entity in the universe is a local villain, and their favourite person is a low-ranking villain, it is unwise to kill that favourite person. I'm sorry, this is going to hurt. I thoroughly enjoy the TikTok series by lighthouseraiders, and I love the S-Tier cosplay that bluekriket.cos does. The latter made a short side series imagining a scenario where S-Tier watches D-Tier die on the news, and wants revenge. They then wrote a fanfic on AO3 to bring that scenario to a written form. I was heavily inspired by them, but carried it out differently. And for clarity of my take, since the original characters have no specified genders: Alex (S-Tier) is she/her, Morgan (D-Tier) is he/him, and I'm basing this off of my own drawings of them, as seen in the cover (plus a really quick and messy background.)

Based on Lighthouseraiders tiktok series specifically a noncanon draft they posted, on if d tier never became a villain. so yeah. S tier's powers are basically anything conceivable, and d tier's power is that they can transport 1 person to them once a month ( or a total sum of 300 pounds of human parts But they wouldn't do that as a villain or hero) S tier is named Alex (he/they) and D tier is named Skylar (She/they) in this universe Skylar is their older brother's sidekick. The obvious choice when your family of super heroes ends up with a d tier child. What else was Skylar to do? become a villain? sure... like that would happen. It's hard to betray the world you grew up in, even if it sucks to be a sidekick to your jerk older brother. Alex was once a hero, by the name of Superior, but that was high school, everyone goes through their hero phase. Some just take longer to grow out of it. Now they are an S tier villain, powers beyond your belief, but they're caught up on one particular hero, an anything but simple d tier hero, sidekick to some ridiculous bozo. They can't get them out of their head. In another life, they might have been friends.
