The Sandlot 2 story is told with a little twist. Takes place in modern day from the perspective of Michelle "Mel" Howarth, David's best friend. Join Mel, David, Hailey, and the rest of the gang on a summer filled with drama, love, and baseball.

They packed their stuff and some money, then left with only an explanation to the boys in the dugout. Now 14 years later the girls have had their babies. They were all girls. One day the girls ran into the boys at the mall. Now that they had reunited again, what will happen? Will they all be happy families? Or will they just be friends again who share a kid together? The moms ran from the dads when they were pregnant for one reason. They were terrified. They were only like that for a little reason. They were all only 15 when they fell pregnant. Talk about kids having kids huh?? Now they meet almost 15 years later when they're kids are 14 years old. The kids are almost an exact replica of their moms with their looks and personality but got a bit of their dad in them. It's the summer of 1972 and Sapphire is a girl who's enjoying her life and the way she is. She's having a great summer playing baseball with her three best friends Hayley, Jenny, and Penny. That is until these five boys come around and somehow ruin it by saying girls can't play BASEBALL. The girls and the boys get to know each other better later on, and Sapphire eventually falls in love with one of them. That boy's name is Tarqell. Other than that, she has a bit of a secret that she thinks will ruin her love life because Tarqell along with the other boys heard of the story of 'The Great Fear'.
