Ever since Queen Glistening's death, Shard had turned bitter. He personally watched with his two eyes how his Queen had died, and he vowed that he will assassinate the killer. The only problem: he doesn't know who the killer is. Shard didn't want to leave the only home he felt comfortable with, but after a horrifying yet helpful discovery sends Shard to the Sand Kingdom, where Burn's territory is. But after a scornful reply and a near-death, Shard has to go to across Pyyrhia, with companions and powerful enemies in his way.

Nightowl is the outcast of her tribe. But why you may ask? Because she's a hybrid, an IceWing-NightWing hybrid. Her mother married a young NightWing guard without Queen Snowstorm's consent and that's how she was born. Because of the bullying and torment she had suffered over the years, she's created a mask of confidence and bravery. This is her story.

Two thousand years after Moonwatcher's prophecy: Icewings had been bred into a line of animi, and took over Pyrrhia, causing the tribes to be forced into containment camps.They made the Nightwings extinct, and allied with the Hivewings to help them gain their own animus power. A young animus Icewing, a fearsome Sand/Rainwing, and a blind Icewing Prince have to save Pyrrhia.. before it is destroyed.

"But you're not any normal IceWing," Atlas said. "You're our Shiver." "Well someday, I'm gonna have to be," Shiver explained. "When we end the war, and I get to live with my family." She could already see it now. Her family welcoming her back with open arms, the tribe hailing her as a hero. Oh, she couldn't wait to be free from the rock they called a home. ~It has to work without a prophecy this time~ For as long as Shiver has lived, she and her friends were given one purpose: To repeat the successes of ancient history and end the war between Pyrrhia and Pantala. But before she can do any of that, Shiver must learn how to be a proper IceWing. It's what her tribe would expect if her, isn't it? How else is she meant to make her lost family proud? When the dragonets are captured and brought to the exact frozen wasteland Shiver was meant to call home, she soon learns that the perfect, lavish lifestyle described in the scrolls may be nothing but fantasy. With the lives of an innocent village at risk, Shiver must take matters into her own talons, even if it's not the IceWing way.

This is a story that includes Tui T Sutherland's idea of Wings of Fire and some characters, along with her world of Pyrrhia. This is officially the cover!
