Not only do the crows watch for the freshly dead, but they watch the demon slayers and assist them, for wherever a demon slayer is a demon will be. And demons kill people. The Reaper then never gets out of a job. One day, Sanemi and Obanai meet a man dressed in black, waiting for something... or someone..? The man is rather tall, but his face is shadowed by his hood. All they can see of this man is his eerie smile. He stands there before moving... but they didn't hear him move. He was too silent, too... unnatural... After that meeting, they see him everywhere. It takes a while for them to realise he was always there, watching, waiting for the day he could collect their souls. The Reaper never usually gets involved in the petty fights of mortals, but he wants to protect the two Hashira... Death decides when you die. He decides when your time is up... Choć jest Filarem Wody, jego drobna postura, niezwykła uroda i delikatność sprawiają, że niemal każda alfa zwraca na niego uwagę. Jest piękną omegą o chłodnym spojrzeniu, małych dłoniach i cichym charakterze. Wielu próbuje zdobyć jego serce, lecz on nie potrafi dostrzec nikogo poza dwiema osobami. Sanemi Shinazugawa i Obanai Iguro. Dwie najsilniejsze alfy Korpusu Zabójców Demonów, ustępujące jedynie Gyomeiowi Himejimie. Podziwiane przez wszystkie omegi, budzą respekt, strach i zachwyt. Nigdy jednak nie zwróciły uwagi na cichego Filara Wody... a przynajmniej tak wydaje się Giyuu. Niewielu wie, że za jego spokojnym wyrazem twarzy kryją się blizny, których nie widać. Przeszłość naznaczona przemocą, upokorzeniem i wykorzystaniem pozostawiła w nim rany głębsze niż jakiekolwiek cięcia mieczem. Do dziś łatwo marznie po przebytej hipotermii, a sen stał się jedynym miejscem, w którym naprawdę potrafi odpocząć - dlatego zasypia wszędzie, nawet w środku rozmowy. Najsłabszy fizycznie spośród Filarów, lecz wciąż gotowy oddać życie za innych, Giyuu nie wierzy, że zasługuje na szczęście. Nie wie również, że los już dawno zapisał jego przyszłość. Bo niektórych więzi nie tworzy przypadek. Niektórych nie da się zerwać. A zapachu przeznaczenia nie da się oszukać.
