Gi-hun and Sang-woo were once close close friends, but since their last year of highschool started, every encounter becomes full of hate... but also desire, which they didn't expect.

-this is an alternate timeline where sang-woo accepted gi-hun's hand and hadn't killed himself. he and gi-hun planned to return to squid games and stop that madness once and for all.... But sang-woo the found a part of him he never knew existed. -this is just a cool little idea I've had at the back of my mind, I'm not that good of a writer, so some of the writing might be bad :')

They almost confessed at a train station once. Years later, they almost get it right. Seong Gi-hun and Cho Sang-woo grew up inseparable - until ambition pulled them apart. When Sang-woo leaves for university, he promises he'll call. He doesn't. When he comes back years later, he finds Gi-hun working at a café next to his new company - still warm, still familiar, still dangerously close to everything he left behind. But some almosts are harder to fix the second time. Especially when pride, jealousy, and unsaid feelings keep getting in the way. And especially when leaving becomes a habit.

Cho Sang-woo and Seong Gi-hun were always so close to each other. Then, when Sang-woo went off to college, they drifted apart. But what happens when the two lovers reconnect at the Squid Games.
