Hi my name is Maria Curtis but everyone calls me string bean. You see I'm goin through a lot right since the bank is trying to take our house. The thing is Darry isn't telling anyone and he won't let me work to try to help. I had to find out on my own and now I have to try to find a job and quick without anyone in the gang finding out. I also do end up liking someone. Guess if it's a soc or a greaser. String bean is a tough girl trying to take on the world by herself. She also starts falling for someone. Can you guess who? You'll have to read to find out. (Also if you like Newsies this is also a book to read. I am writing this book for a friend that wanted a combination. In a small town in Santa Fe, New Mexico A girl was born, on Christmas Day. She was said to be a miracle child. Out of all the attention, her older sister was jealous of her popularity. Her older sister longed to be loved and adored by others.

This is my version of what will happen to Jack, Katherine, and the Newsies after the paper strike. Mainly JackxKatherine!

The strike is settled. In fact it has been for a couple years. Jack, Katherine and the others are leading successful lives. Did Pulitzer ever move on or has he been secretly plotting his revenge?

Katherine is sick of her life in New York, and she wants to get out as fast as possible. Will jack go with her? Will the newsies go too? (AN: this will be updated when I have the time so the timing will be all over the place)

Isa, a naïve but tough seventeen year old girl, can't do anything with her life running away from the Refuge and the police. Davey can't cope with having to leave the Newsies, the only friends he ever known, for good. Together, hand in hand, they might make it through. Little do they know, however, that even harder times are coming. For everyone. Will they band together and stay strong? Our will they be crushed underfoot by the oncoming terror?

I find that I write a lot for my English classes, so all of those stories will be included plus every other random story I write that doesn't have any more chapters to be added. It is the year 2290. Humanity has been extinct for years, and birds have taken over the planet Earth and renamed it Mondeseaux. The planet is ruled by the incredibly ruthless bird king, a Great Horned Owl named Strix, who takes birds that do not meet his standards and locks them up in a prison known as Ragadon, where they are doomed to die in a scheduled number of days. Toco is one of those birds. An optimistic toco toucan, he has been marked with the number 55, and is soon scheduled to die as an outcast. But with the help of an awkward bald eagle named Haliaeetus and a sophisticated yet silly raven named Corbin, along with a slew of other birds that have been labeled as "Halaforts", Toco discovers a place far from Mondeseaux's capital city of Passerina. A place known as the Perrenial Paradise, where sanctuary is guaranteed to all birds. Desperate to make it there, he decides to escape after nearly seeing one of his friends die at the talons of Strix- but now he's a fugitive. And with Strix and the members of the King's Court after him, he and the other birds must journey across Mondeseaux, along the way discovering the things that the humans left behind, facing multiple obstacles, and realizing that they're not the only ones who have been persecuted...

After deciding not to hand her over to the nuns, he takes her home with him to the Manhattan Newsies Lodging House. For two years she remains with the Manhattan Newsies until she decides to strike out on her own. Queens opens their doors for her and it pays off two years later when she becomes the "King of Queens" 👑. After building her empire, Brookie, as she came to be called, is pretty confident of what she calls her "Queens Empire." But when the prices of papes go up, Brookie is forced to work in close proximity with people who could use her real identity to bring down the "Queens Empire." Will her identity be protected or will it all come tumbling out like the hair in her cap? And what happens if she starts feeling herself going soft for someone she could never be with? You see, Shiner isn't like any other Newsie. He's got secrets and one of them is that he's a girl. This book will be based off of a combination of the Fulton Theatre Newsie actors/story and the movie. That is why the character descriptions will not match the ones from the original Broadway cast. This is my first story of this kind on Wattpad, so I will try my hardest to make it enjoyable to read. I will try to update every other week up until completion.

The union still stands, but the boys stop sending the hopeless letters, starting to wonder if Jack ever cared. So, what happens when Jack appears back at the lodge one day?
