This is a reimagining of the entire Sword Art Online story, with all the familiar characters playing different roles in a more grounded science-fiction/dark fantasy story. This fic is being told from the POV of Klein, whose roll has been expanded. The story is set in a fictional world and it revolves around a group of knights who were task in protecting a place called Human Empire. The main leads of the story are two childhood friends who dreamed of becoming an Integrity Knight who protects the Human Empire from the forces of Dark Territory. The story will be told in different perspective depending on chapters. The characters will face great adventure, joy, sadness, victory, losses, despair, hope, and Death. There will be some explanation about some of the details in the story the rest will be unraveled as the story progress. Enjoy! NOTE: This is a fanfic I wrote back in 2019.
