I lowered my gaze and looked at the ground, as if it were the most beautiful thing in the world. Its color was purely white, the complete opposite of the dark aura radiating from their lord.
He was not very old, yet not too young to be a ruler. His age didn't seem far from mine-but then I reminded myself that looks could be deceiving.
He observed me with his icy blue eyes, looking at me slowly from head to toe.
His right hand rested on the arm of his huge black chair, while his other hand held a small fae-Zerel.
Zerel's teeth were visible as he smiled widely at me, then turned his grin toward his lord-Lord Kaelen.
"Who is this lady?" Lord Kaelen asked Satoru.
"An elf, my lord," he said proudly.
"I know she is an elf. Even from miles away, I could tell what she is." Lord Kaelen groaned at the goblin.
