Age 26 with an uncertain future, Marlene wasn't sure what was going to happen with the rest of her life, she certainly wasn't expecting this. Now stuck in another universe, one in which was a television show back home. How can she stay on the side-lines when perhaps the only way to get home lies with an alien in a time traveling police box? It's Christmas time on Bannerman Road! Sky is very excited for her first Christmas and Luke comes back. Sarah-Jane tries her best to make Sky's first Christmas unforgettable. Life at UNIT and the cover up of The Doctor's true identity from his fellow colleagues needs more. The Brigadier sends him to the Middle East to serve as a mechanic on a 6-month tour. He never wanted to fight but to keep his family he would. Flash forward a year and The Doctor isn't sleeping. At first this doesn't affect him, Timelords don't need as much sleep anyways but like every creature he needs to rest eventually and if sleeping pills don't work for him, the alternate may prove to nearly destroy his family and his life.

Not only has Jamie had to adjust to the Doctor's new face, but his honeymoon has been interrupted and he's left with a discontented bride ... who, along with Sarah Jane, has now gone missing. Set not long after The Ark in Space story arc. Fourth story in the Time With a Twist of Tartan series.
