UPDATED slightly due story plot issues. I do not own any of the characters in Steven Universe. Please do not copy any of the story. Copy right 2015. I do introduce characters that aren't in Steven Universe, so I'll put an Authors Note(A/N) before every chapter letting you guys know weather the new character introduced in the chapter was created by me. I also would love your feed back in the comments, and I ask if you see any grammar mistakes, don't hesitate to let me know. I'm not sure how often I will update, but I will try. :) Obsidian had never been alive before the Crystal Gems revived him. All he knew was his name and that he was a Gem. He didn't know how he was created or who did it and what his reason for existing was. Even Garnet the somewhat appointed leader of the Crystal Gems didn't know what he was since there has never been a Gem with Obsidian as their Gem. It had been a first for everyone. To get a better understanding of him the crystal Gems decide to take Obsidian on as a Crystal Gem student just as Steven, and would one day become a full fledged member. But will his unknown past catch up him?

Steven Universe, a normal 12 year old boy. Sardonyx Lane, a not-so-normal woman. Best friends. ___________________________________________ Steven Universe moves into the normal town of Beach City with his mothers Garnet and Pearl, his sister Amethyst, and his cousins Ruby and Sapphire. He finds a strange monster in the coastal area, but learns she is an innocent girl with a horrible backstory. Sardonyx, through some trial and error, learns that no matter what you are, you're perfect. And credit to MissWiggleArt on Deviantart for drawing the wonderful cover, which was uh... borrowed I guess. None of the credit for the cover goes to me cause I stink at drawing.

"Why Connie, those gems are your team. And you're going to Earth." She answered and I gasp quietly. Earth.
