Kehaulani (pronounced keh-HOU-lah-nee origin Hawaiian meaning heavenly dew-cool breeze from heaven) came on the prisoner transport with Michael no one knew why she was there or what her crime was.... she became instant friends with Michael during Burnham's 6 months in prison and soon meets a certain Kelpien that makes her feel.... odd.... in a way that she has never felt before and the same went for him.... Saru was frightened of these brand new emotions but he still wanted to experience them.... with her.... in every way possible.... though it may be possible that it took him to long to figure out that she wanted the same.... he thought that she would have quite possibly chosen Lorca or Tyler for in his mind they would ABSOLUTELY be a better choice for such a celestially ethereal beauty such as herself

The Discovery is experiencing some issues with the spore drive. When Doctor Culber suggests that Lieutenant Stamets should get some rest, Captain Lorca decides to set a course to the nearest peaceful planet in order to allow his crew to enjoy a short vacation.
