Kata rekannya lagi, tempat itu tidak pantas didatangi oleh gadis pelacur sepertinya. Tapi bagi Karin itu semua hanya terdengar seperti gunjingan-gunjingan iri kepadanya. Karin tak ambil pusing jadi ia tetap pergi ke tempat perpustakaan di pusat kota yang sudah ia hapal seluk beluknya. Tapi di pagi hari itu, Karin yang biasanya tinggal duduk di tempatnya. Harus merengutkan keningnya tatkala mendapati ada orang lain yang telah lebih dulu menduduki bangku yang ia berani labelkan sebagai tempat khusus miliknya karena jarang sekali Karin dapati ada sosok lain yang menempati. Tapi kali berbeda, ada seorang pria dengan setelan jas dan rambut yang disisir rapih duduk di tempatnya terlebih pria itu membaca buku yang Karin sengaja simpan dan sembunyikan! "Ah sial!" Umpat Karin akhirnya.
