After Ash leaves his mom, Delia, off on another journey to explore the things he missed, he starts thinking about a possible scenario. He remembers the kiss with Serena before she headed down the escalator to leave Kalos. He remembers being stuck in Team Rocket's Cage with Misty, as 'two lovebirds'. But then he remembers, he never really loved them. He just always thought they were friends, or travel companions. Then he remembers Chloe. Her shy personality, unsure, a new trainer who's only recently set off on her journey. She sometimes tagged along with Ash and Goh. He remembers a time when she had discovered something, and she was struggling to carry it. He helped her push it onto a cart, but carrying it so closely to her, her body warmth, the brushing of their hands. Finally he realizes, Chloe's perfect. His crush. His love, with her shy personality. He wants to find her, and confess.

The shockingly unexpected tale of just how young Ash Ketchum, after not having seen his one true love for months on end, finally plucks up the courage to approach her once more. However, the object of his affections is not who she once was.
