He doesn't care for the people in his hometown and he enjoys the solitude of his forest hikes, well except for his faithful retriever, Lani. But when strange things start happening in their hometown, the unlikely duo finds that the only people they can really depend on are each other. Magic comes alive and secrets start to be unearthed. Sparrow, Del, and Eis'Libe are Grey Rangers, tasked with keeping order in the Wildlands of war-torn Shaintar. Assigned to a city in the neighboring country of Galea, they stumble on a plot beyond their wildest imaginations, beginning with investigating the seemingly simple case of a missing elf named Trayps Verdan. This story is the novelization of a role-playing campaign I ran in 2020, in the Shaintar fantasy setting, with permission and feedback from the players. This is a work in progress, so please consider this to be a beta until I finish and revise. Feedback is most welcome!
