It's been four months since Dirk solved the Oneiroi case and human existence, (yes, Dirk solved the case of human existence) and they were beginning to get used to the idea of maybe, possibly, living a normal life. Not that they wanted that, of course. But they had stopped Blackwing so maybe the universe was fixed and no more weird stuff would happen... Wrong! Get ready for a tale of goats, a boat, drugs, and lots of other random stuff. I told you this one was weird.

You are Project Ichnaea, also known as the 'holistic' Tracker. Supervisor Hugo and Mr.Priest want you to find Dirk Gently and bring him back to Blackwing but you have other plans and so does the universe.

Despite them being called "The Eight Months of Nothing", a lot happened in that time. Let's take a look, shall we?

They've got a new case. But this time they're finally going through it as Detective and Assis-Boyfriend. When Todd's neighbor has a ghost in her apartment Dirk and Todd come to solve the case. Except they solved it much sooner than they anticipated, at least part of it. The universe is just getting started. This is just the tip of the iceberg, actually, no. It's the whole iceberg in the Arctic Ocean. Lots of (and ONLY) fluff lol Oh, and also blood, gore, and unnecessary violence but this is Dirk Gently (rather Bart) we're talking about here.
