Cams POV I️ watch as the most beautiful girl I've ever seen gets out of the most badass truck I've ever seen. She steps out, one long, tan leg before the other. I️ swear to god my jaw was on the floor and my eyes popped out of their sockets. Fun fact, I️ actually can pop my eyes out of their sockets. I️ realize that the girl is walking towards me, back straight, chin up and shoulders back. I️ can tell she rides horses because her legs are weirdly long and her posture is perfect. Can I be in love already? Is that even possible? Aubrey's POV I️ watch as the boy standing in front of me gawks. "Are you going to open the door or what?" He's so hot. Meh. I️ am too. And im skinny. Guys love skinny. I️ Love skinny. I️ have to stay skinny. I️ have to. And I️ can't fall apart. Because I️ am strong. Empty. Strong. Empty. Strong. Empty. Empty stomach, strong beautiful girl. It's that simple. Hot doorman can't make any words, so he silently opens the door. I️ walk through and know that it's the last time I'll ever see him.

A true story of a child's adoption and the obstacles that were faced while growing up. Things aren't always what they seem from the outside looking in. Just because a child was adopted, doesn't mean that they're always safe. You will also see that the badge and uniform doesn't always mean that "they must've been adopted into a good family." This story is meant to empower and give voice to the people who need to speak up about sexual abuse. This story is about my own struggles of adoption, which has been a life long journey. I hope that you find courage in my story to not live in the dark, because you're afraid of what other's might see in the light. Closure doesn't always present itself in the way we wished it would. Sometimes, you have to buckle down and demand what's yours. This story, it's as close as I will ever get to closure, but the world deserves to know that there is strength in our weaknesses. If I can make it through all of this and still have some fight left in me....so can you. I've prided myself on being this overly strong person, who has been a fighter since day one. The harsh reality of sexual abuse is that it's NOT something you can just keep inside and continue to feel strengthened that you made it through. It doesn't just sit in the back of your mind to never be thought about again. I could only wish that it would work that way. You can't drink it away and you can't ignore it. You have to face it. If you want to heal....YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT HEAD ON.
