My entry for National Geographic's #PlanetOrPlastic Contest. Marine pollution has risen alarmingly and now has to be stopped. Not only the animals but indirectly we are also getting harmed because of what the animals ingest. It's high time to take steps in order to curb this issue before it consumes everything and leaves nothing in its wake.

So I got really inspired by this #planetorplastic contest. I know the impact the single use plastic can do to our environment and ecosystem. And I always try to reduce my plastic use. At least as much as I possibly can. I try to avoid using plastic bags and put it all in my college bag if I can which I carry most of the time, so there's that. Anyway, this is a serious matter and one story can change everything and as readers we know that very well. So if you get inspired a little bit or if you think these stories can change someone's mind don't hesitate to share these stories. I'm not saying share mine, but share those that inspire you. This story is all part of my imagination. Some of the inspiration is taken from real life. Like Synesthesia. For those who don't know; Synesthesia is a condition in which one sense (for example, hearing) is simultaneously perceived as if by one or more additional senses such as sight. The main character here has what you call mirror touch synesthesia where you can feel what someone's feeling. The feeling can be physical or emotional. I have used this condition as an inspiration but I'm not saying that it is all correct and logical. As I said it is a work of my imagination and some real life inspiration. * The photo in the cover is not owned by me. Credit goes to NOAA. PS: Total words-497
