A special mission is given to the previous generation of shinobi: infiltrate the Academy in disguise to observe their children undetected. Sasuke (as a janitor) secretly watches from the shadows and sees the boy protect a class pet from bullies without saying a word-he intervenes silently. Eventually, the kids begin to slowly warm up to him after a class event where his true personality shines: maybe he helps a scared student during a thunderstorm, or defends someone from being blamed. His pure heart begins to shift the rumors, and even Boruto and others start to see him differently. Meanwhile, the disguised parents are emotionally wrecked-some laughing, some tearing up-as they realize how much a quiet kid like him can be overlooked. Sai and Ino finally talk to him more at home, and Inojin grows more protective and proud of his brother.
