Instead of entertainment companies, everyone attends Anima Academy, a school where students awaken "Anime Spirits." Every student is inspired by a different anime archetype. The stronger their emotions become, the stronger their Anime Spirit evolves. Some use powers for protection. Others become villains.

A special mission is given to the previous generation of shinobi: infiltrate the Academy in disguise to observe their children undetected. Naruto, Sasuke, Sai, Ino, Sakura, and others go undercover using transformation jutsu or new personas. But something unexpected happens. Instead of watching their own children, many of them become quietly drawn to Inojin's little brother-a gentle, quiet boy often avoided by others because of his eerie silence and long black hair that hides his face. Rumors spread among the kids that he's cursed or can see ghosts. But in reality, he's just painfully shy, pure-hearted, and trying his best. The disguised parents observe him: Ino (disguised) becomes deeply emotional seeing her youngest son's kindness ignored or misunderstood. She realizes how little he speaks up at home too. Sai (disguised) is confused but touched watching his son draw small art gifts for classmates who avoid him. Naruto (disguised as a clumsy transfer student) tries to make friends with him and is stunned by his gentle nature. Sakura (as a teacher assistant) gives him extra attention in class, realizing he reminds her of Hinata at that age. Sasuke (as a janitor) secretly watches from the shadows and sees the boy protect a class pet from bullies without saying a word-he intervenes silently. Eventually, the kids begin to slowly warm up to him after a class event where his true personality shines: maybe he helps a scared student during a thunderstorm, or defends someone from being blamed. His pure heart begins to shift the rumors, and even Boruto and others start to see him differently. Meanwhile, the disguised parents are emotionally wrecked-some laughing, some tearing up-as they realize how much a quiet kid like him can be overlooked. Sai and Ino finally talk to him more at home, and Inojin grows more protective and proud of his brother.

Sawako Iwasaki is a 16 year old third year at Tennoji High. Being the laughing stalk of the school took a toll on her health, both mentally and physically. She usually gets dirty looks from her classmates and at times gets her things stolen. Dispite all this she seems to keep her life together, at least as well as she can in her position. With insomnia being her worst enemy and sadness being her closest friend shes about to make a new one and this one won't be a bad thing. Is she stable enough to keep this one?

Book one "ohayo" is finished and now it's time for book two! As you may or may not remember, in book one Sawako Kuronuma didn't know Kazehaya liked her and she still doesn't, But what if she did? However, with a constant reminder of how happy sawako and kazehaya are together along with ryu and chizu, she finds herself lonely in tokyo as she just couldn't love someone like her first love. After graduating from university and starting out a job, she also finds herself in a dilemma on who to be her plus one at a certain event. Will she ask a male friend to tag along casually? or maybe....find hope in........a long lost love?
