His favorite old Appalachian song to sing to me was "Froggy Went A-Courtin'," which is sort of the rural grandchild of the old English ballad, "The Moste Strange Weddingge of Frogge and Mouse." It is this old ballad which I used as the basis for the song in the first chapter. I can still hear my grandfather's voice singing the Appalachian version to me on his porch. This story is about learning how to say goodbye. And it is so much easier for my characters to do that than it is for me.]

As I watched the light that once shone so brightly in your eyes dim a little more each day, I am reminded just how blessed I am to have had you in my life, and how lucky Heaven is going to be to have you home. ♥️🐶 *Final thoughts through the eyes of a dog.

Miya and Rin decided to spend the day together before Rin have to leave for a summer training camp in Spain. Miya has a surprise pool party waiting for him up at the school campus. She convince all her friends to get things set up. To distract Rin, she convince him to go to a summer festival in the next town over to have some fun. They seemed to be enjoying their time together and even won a matching pair of bracelets to remember their time together. Once it was getting dark, Miya and Rin arrived back to school and it was time to enjoy the party. It was packed with everything Rin enjoyed and a pool filled with Cherry Blossoms. Miya never swam a day in her life, so she stayed away from the pool and only got closer to watch Rin swimming. Then he pulls her in and hold her tight before drowning. The day came when they have to save good-bye, but they would always remember their perfect date.

Peter goes off to war, leaving his new fiance behind. Over the course of his service they exchange letters.

It's Kate's funeral, a chance for Neal to finally say goodbye to the live once knew and begin another one with his family by his side.
