Have you ever been bullied? Or bullied someone? If you have been bullied, then you will be able to relate to this short story If you have bullied before (in anyway) hopefully this might convince you to stop. Have you ever had rumours been spread about you? Or ever spread rumours about somebody else? The same thing goes. This is a personal experience of mine from a couple of years ago.

A story about a person's one last act of defiance, told in less than 850 words. A story about an average person, just like us. A person being stung and wounded by the harsh words of the society we all live in and are a part of. Why I would want you to read it? My intentions are only pure and good. I want to spread awareness and of course do good in this competition. Mostly because it's the first story I wrote right from my heart, no fabrications.

Bullying is something almost everyone goes through. There is a chance that you are a bully yourself. It doesn't have to be this way, it doesn't have to hurt. It will all be okay. #LaterHaters

What do you do when you CAN'T get angry? You CAN'T defend yourself because you're always happy. The answer is simple. You pay someone that's always angry to make you angry, take it from me. "Are you always this happy?" Liam looks at me sideways, his signature frown in place. His words were sharp, meant to cut. I wasn't trying to be positive. Really. I just can't help it. I cross my legs and turn to him. The look in his dark eyes so full of nothing. It was almost worse with the way he was staring at me. He was judging me. Like everyone else. "I... no." My voice squeeks and I curse my inability to lie. Liam makes a sound that roughly sounds like a snort and a scoff combined. And my heart cracks just a little more. "Yeah, whatever. Save it princess, we all know can't go a day without being nice and positively happy. But hey, if I wanted to be a daughter by proffesion and daddy was stuffing my wallets full of cash, I'd be smilling just as much as you. And spouting peace core bullshit all around." And that was the final blow, he went in for the final kill with sharp precision. For a moment I feel a stab of anger but the anger vanishes and in it's stead is just biting sadness. I can't tell if he regrets his words or not because he stands up quickly from the grass and turns around before walking away. His final words to me echoing in my head. Daughter by profession? Was that what I was?

Today, one of my best friends when on one of her favorite apps and made a dance video to a song. The song meant a lot to her, because that was her grandfather's, who recently passed away, favorite song. He had a love for music and once before, had been a musician himself. It had been a long ride for my friend, and she had just decided to stop greiving and get on with life. It was a beautiful song, and sje brought it to life by her wonderful dancing. But, as many incidents happen, some careless and heartless WARTHOG decided to comment on her musical in a very mean and hurtful way. They went on about 'how she wasn't a true dancer, how she is ugly and how she will always be alone.' This really hurt my friend. The next day at school she told our group how she was going to 'delete her account' and told us how much pain she was in. If you let these ignorant people get to you, it will darken your day. So I ask you THINK before you post online. What if it was you?

Being sexually harassed from a young age, sent Maryline into depression. She isolated herself from the real world and kept her distance from human beings. She felt she didn't belong. And, the fact that she has been continuously bullied in school didn't help matters in any way. She was lost. Not simply merely lost, she was deeply lost. Not until Corper Lucky arrived.
