"Yuri, c'mon, wake up!" Yuri felt a slight nudge on her shoulder, but didn't bother to open her eyes. She grunted slightly and lightly shoo-ed her friend's hand away. "Yuri, please?" Sayori didn't give up. "What do you want" the tall girl grumbled with a tone that was usually only reserved for Natsuki. Usually she would immediately apologize and say that she didn't mean it in a mean way. But usually included being in a clubroom after school, not Monika's house at 2 A.M. "Would you go to the store with me? I'm hungry and Monika is out of bread~" Sayori showed her a goofy grin. A sigh escaped Yuri's lips as she got up, something cracking in her wrist, oh well. Even on her knees and slightly hunched forward she was towering over the girl. Her face was still scrunched up from the sudden awakening. "So is that a yes?"

What if... a regular person went INSIDE of Doki Doki Literature Club? Yes, I know, I know, not an original concept. But I'm doing a unique spin on it! Trust me! Just... read the description and trust me!! Aubergine is a 18-year-old guy who really likes DDLC, but is avidly against the... er... "strategies" Monika employs within it. He has also never played the game. He was researching Doki Doki stuff for a potential fanfiction he could publish on his Wattpad account, chimpanzeecitizen40, when he stumbled upon an ad that allowed you to "GO INSIDE DDLC!" His curiosity got the best of him and so he clicked on it, expecting some low-quality AI website he'd click off of after a few seconds, but suddenly, his tablet flashed, and... exclamatory expression! He now finds himself within the confines of Doki Doki Literature Club! Will he see firsthand how psychologically terrible DDLC actually is? Will Monika be surprised and intrigued at this person from the reality she wants desperately to be a part of? Will Yuri be pleasantly surprised by his avid interest in vocabulary? Will Natsuki find solace in finally getting another member of the club who thinks manga is literature? Will Sayori be excited at the possibility of getting another friend alongside MC? Will Aubergine be very, VERY critical of Monika's deletion demonstrations before she puts them into motion?! Eh. Probably. And romance is sure to blossom as well! "Romance between who", you may ask? "Romance between what"? "Between where"? "Between WHY"...? Well... I don't know how to answer those last three questions. But for the formerest or formers, well... you'll just have to wait and see, oh reader(s)! Or... "just have to wait and read", I guess? Yes. Yes, that sounds about right. ... ... ...what are you waiting for? The description's over now. You've been given enough time to decide if you want to read or not. Go... do whatever decision you've decided on doing. It's okay. I promise I won't judge.

I do not own Doki Doki Literature Club, all rights are to Team Salvato. This story was inspired by DDLC and modded DDLC stories. What would it be like to see from the perspective of the main character who suffered from a traumatic experience before joining the Literature Club? Maybe he might share something in common with one of the members...Or maybe something in common with every club member? I have no hopes for this being the next DDLC mod, but I wrote it for fun.

As MC remembers the truth, everyone tries to escape this place they're locked in. Where *are* they locked in? Are they going to be trapped forever? Will they find Monika? Who knows...
