An alternate universe fan fiction based on the characters belonging to CL Stone's Ghost Bird Academy series. Sang Sorenson, a highly driven and focused college student, begins to discover there is more to life than working hard and getting ahead. She is determined to succeed and doggedly pursues her dreams. She starts meeting some guys, who begin to pursue her like dogs on a hunt. Will she be able to hold them off so she can obtain her goal? Does she even want to? Or will she discover her goal is pointless if she has no one to share it with?

After the events of House of Korba, fires are still erupting all over Charleston, and Team Toma has been tasked to investigate their cause. Sam and Dean Winchester arrive in Charleston to investigate the same fires after a news article quoted an old lady witness: "Either spontaneous combustion or there was a ghost!" "Hey Dean." Sang Sorenson is new to Charleston. Nobody told her why they had to leave Illinois. In fact, nobody told her why she had to move 12 times since she was 9. At first she was confused and asked questions. She learned very quickly that asking questions only caused more pain for her. She figured they would stay for a little while and go on their way. Only she didn't account for the boy across the street, or his 8 brothers who would shake up her life more than any move ever has. Nor did she ever imagine Raven coming back into her life, and his 4 brothers that come as a package deal. Sang was accustomed to running, that's what her life had been. But for the first time in her life, she wanted to stay. Her wishes had gone ignored for so long, that maybe fate would decide to give her a chance. These amazing characters go to C.L. Stone. I just wanted to share my spin on it.

My life was never easy. In fact, it might have been hard. Everyone's lives are hard at one time or another, but mine... mine lead me to become strong where others would have broken. That doesn't mean I've never been broken, hell, I've been broken a lot. For a very long time. But broken bones grow even stronger where they've been broken, as did I. At least that's what I thought. It's been a while since Sang has last seen her stepmother. One day, she ran to the woods, as she always did, but this time she didn't turn back. She lost her sense of obligation to her family over the years filled with pain. She'd lived on the streets for a while, until she got a job, an apartment, a life. But then things turn for the worse again. A stalker finds his way into Sang's life, and when his obsession with her becomes a danger to her life, she turns to Dr. Roberts, someone who hasn't failed her before. So what's going to happen if the Blackbourne-Toma team gets a new mission to help an academy associate Dr. Roberts calls family? Warning: Slow build! It'll take a while until Sang even meets the guys. Also: Cursing, violence, gore and the likes - pretty descriptive language! In the Scarab Beetle series, there is one mention of a 12 year old girl whose score at Ashley Waters High School were higher then Wil Winchester's, but no explanation is ever made of who she is, what she is like, or any mention of her in the Ghost Bird series. She interested me, so I wrote the beginning of her tale... India Mikasi is a genius, they say, but she doesn't see herself that way. Of herself, she just says she was a "little brighter than average" and that as a mixed race person, she knew what it was like to be reviled, despised, and then ultimately ignored. At Ashley Waters she was small enough to avoid the bullying, hear a lot she shouldn't have, and acquired nine adopted brothers and a sister of the heart... all before her thirteenth birthday.

It all looks so inviting on the outside, to some, who doesn't like an old warehouse looking to collapse at the slightest wind blow. And the stench, what's not to love? Well anyone who doesn't see it, doesn't smell it, would believe it's the "next big thing". For most, it's another high class club beside the beach that allows kids younger then eighteen in on one Saturday night of every month.
