It is the first novel in my version of the Oz series of books. *** The first tale in my adaption of the fantastical Oz series by L. Frank Baum. My adaptation of Baum's first book, "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz," remains faithful to the original narrative structure, while introducing captivating modifications to the storyline, origins of certain characters, and the fusion of select chapters. In crafting this rendition, I sought to pay homage to the rich tapestry of Oz adaptations that have graced our screens over the years. Notably, I drew inspiration from the iconic 1939 MGM classic and its enchanting Disney 1985 semi-Sequel, "Return to Oz," as well as the beloved "Wicked" series, SyFy's enthralling "Tin Man" miniseries from 2007, Oz the Great and Powerful (2013), and the captivating Oz episodes of "Once Upon a Time." To breathe life into the pages, I decided to create live-action illustrations for the book. I used a mix of the MGM Wizard of Oz, Return to Oz (1985), and other Oz adaptations to create the visuals.

Now, Dorothy continues her adventures, encountering new friends and foes by the minute. Some even testing her strength and what it means to be a hero of Oz.. (Moreso my own spin on the series while following some of the book elements and obviously not the MGM film. )

Kiera, an orphaned girl, who causes way to much trouble on the distressed side of Gotham City has finally figured out about the word 'Karma.' Being in the wrong place at the wrong time is bad enough, now she has a bounty on her head because she pissed off a certain 4'4" criminal: The Penguin. Getting away from Penguin's grubby paws was easy the first time, considering a certain boy in blue showed up but next time it won't be so simple. Commissioner Gordon decides the best place for a spitfire like Kiera would be to put her in the Asylum and after some arguing and persuasion, he hauls her there. Making new alliances with some of Gotham's criminally insane was not on Kiera's to do list and neither was seeing an old enemy who stole away her whole childhood. Trauma like that changes a person, and Kiera will never be weak like that again because this time she's ready for it. But is she ready to let a certain vigilante steal her heart or will she just chase him away, like everyone else.

Okay so hey guys, I'm alive. And I really do not think I have the real desire to write a sequel to my original work so.... here is what I'm planning to do instead. My original work was finished in 2013 and I started it even earlier. I was sixteen when I finished it up and while I might have been an alright writer, I've grown a lot through my creative writing classes. I didn't even edit what I originally work and that continues to terrify me. What I want to do is go through, edit, and make changes I've thought about since I finished it. At the time, I wanted a sequel. I thought I could pump it out really quick even though I'm relatively sure it took me two years just for the first one. I want to make this wanna be two work piece into just one. I want to give you all a real ending and make it something I am proud of. I'm planning to post it up on Ao3 as I edit, and post it up on Wattpad chapter by chapter (maybe one every two days?) once I'm finished. If you want to see the progress as it goes, I'm at blondiebatgirl on archive of our own. The prolouge is already up. Once I start uploading the new version of this, I will mark the original as such and the new as 'rewritten' or 'edited', whichever I deem more apt. It will tie in the conflicts I wanted from this story and will only leave mysteries I wanted in the first place. There will be a definite ending. Anyway-- I'm so sorry for those of you waiting. The Joker has adopted a daughter with abilities she refuses to use and also refuses to kill. She knows once she does either of those things she be on the wrong side of the law, meaning Batman has and will have a reason to come after her. She wants to convince him that she is a good person but struggles. Zoë may be the Joker's daughter but she will never act like it.
