Scathach and Joan. Shadow and Arc. This is the lost history of two warriors who will become sisters! Takes place before and after the series...but mostly before. This story will take you way, way, way back. When there were dragons and knights and castles. Dedicated to two of my most favorite characters:)

Thaumaturgy, or better known as magecraft, is a dangerous and powerful subject. While it may not be able to hold a candle to true magic, which was nothing short of miracle creation, it still holds a strong influence in this world. It's study lead humans to grow cold, distanced, uncaring. A mage must not allow anything to interfere with their work. There's one event ,however, that turns mages completely into nothing short of wild animals. The Holy Grail War, a battle to the death between seven masters and servants, everyone involved has the right to say they have witnessed a small part of hell arrive on earth. Legends of the past were summoned to the present as servants in order to fight, the reward being any one wish granted. This battle royale was set in a city of Japan... usually. For some unknown reason, the grail manifested in the U.S.A on it's sixth appearance. Will this war turn out like the one's before? Or will the Grail finally grant the winner's wish?

This is a mash between two popular book series, the Percy Jackson and the Olympians and the Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel. If you like it, please vote so I know to keep adding chapters! - Excerpt- "Who are you?" she asks Scatty and only gets the response of, "I am the Shadow." Her answer is true, but the girl isn't satisfied. "You know I'm going to need a better answer than that. If you won't tell me who you are, then who are your friends?" she questions Scathach once more. I can see Scatty relax slightly and I tighten my grip on Clarent. It's obvious to me that she's deliberately loosening up to test if anyone will make the first move and then the big, pug- faced girl leaps at the Shadow, holding her spear sideways to attempt to hold her down. Scathach is too fast for her, she deflects the girl's spear with both of her swords, catching the attack in mid-air. She looked into to the girl's surprised face and genuinely smiled, revealing her two pointed fangs.

Merry Christmas! Before I say more let me get some things out of the way. First off this is a special contains no spoilers nor is anything cannon unless or until confirmed otherwise.
