For thousands of years, humans have lived on the brink of extinction, scampering about in the shadows of Dragons. But hidden deep in the forests of Pyrrhia lies Starlight, a small sanctuary where humans could thrive, rather than survive. But their sense of safety has begun to crack. Imagine being suddenly transported into your favourite book series. That's what happened to Daniel lorence when he was transported into the fictional land of Phyrria. Desperate to find a way back home, he embarks on a journey, meeting familiar faces along the way. However, when an unforseen prophecy comes into play -one that never made an appearance in the books- Daniel finds himself on a perilous journey if he ever wishes to escape alive. All while he tries to keep his true identity a secret from his new friends. But when something starts to pull the strings on his mind and the world around him, it's clear something much more sinister is on the horizon. As such, he finds himself risking it all to save a world he's not even supposed to exist in. As well as having to choose. Whether living life as dragon... I accept any ideas and Constructive criticism (don't be too harsh please) so come along for the ride. NOTE: Things may seem off within the story such as: A confusing timeline, unexplained plot holes, out of character reactions, etc. All I can say is that they're in there on purpose for the most part and will be explained as you read through the story. The war has been raging for so long that nobody remembers how it started. Europa, Eurasia, and Euruska grind each other into dust while scavengers pick through the bones of civilization, hoping to survive one more day. Kid is one of those scavengers. At seventeen years old, he's already seen enough death to last several lifetimes. He hauls water back to the Innards, avoids firefights whenever possible, and somehow manages to stay on good terms with soldiers from every faction. Most people like him. Which, in the Forever Winter, is almost a miracle. Then people start disappearing. Scavs. Soldiers. Civilians. Taken by rogue Mother Courages that have abandoned the war and built something new within an ancient Arcology known only as the Nest. A place whispered about in rumors. A place with food. Clean water. Working lights. Safety. A paradise hidden within the apocalypse. A paradise nobody is allowed to leave. Watching over the Nest is Aiya, a rogue Mother Courage who has spent years observing the strange young scavenger who refuses to stop helping people. To her, Kid is everything worth preserving. To Kid, she's a sixty-foot biomechanical nightmare capable of crushing tanks with her bare hands. Unfortunately for him, Aiya has already made a decision. The safest place left on Earth has a room waiting for him. And she's determined to bring him home. Whether he wants to or not.

It was strange, waking up in a world much different from your own, and as a dragon, no less. It didn't take long to learn the ways of this new world, but with war always on the horizon, ruthless parents, and a societal hierarchy that decided everything, it made goals hard to reach. However, with knowledge and memories of events of things that have yet to happen, and creations never seen before in this world, it might make reaching those goals a little easier. Leo had always struggled to fit in with society, so when the apocalypse starts, she already knows she won't make it past 50 days. The "how long will I survive an apocalypse" test from the internet said so itself. What she never expected, however, was that she would come back alive after dying. Her conscience still intact, her memories proving she did not belong with the feral horde of the infected. Yet she still did not belong... or did she? (P.S. Trying to upload every 3 days, bear with me!) She will get bitten and 'turn,' gaining some special abilities, but that will happen later on in the story because there has to be lore. ;)

4 people, desperate for views to gain more money off the internet, then came upon an area they are not suppose to go into. Strange deaths occurred from the past, disturbing items lingering through the walls, will they survive?

(A/N: this one actually took some serious thought but then it hit me, I was focused on the magic side but why do that when I should do the opposite! The scavengers are coming to play!) On a job the scavenger team died, it was most likely a trap to finally get rid of them, then before they can retrieve their bodies a magical force pulled them into the crossing paths of a certain necromancer's spell, how will this version of Japan without academy city and an even darker underground react to not just a necromancer but a deadly team of now undead teenagers.

"Just take a risk for once in your life!" Arkin begged. I tapped my foot impatiently. Arkin let's out a growl before stomping off to do his pouting. "Collect more while you're at it." I call after him. His retreating figure disappearing into the cloak of the woods. Once alone I turn around to look at the rubble of the city beneath my feet. The city that Arkin so desperately wanted to visit outside of our faction. It was a land my father used to tell me stories about. The land of the dead. The only living creatures there were was the deformities from the radiation, and rebels, who left the faction. I had to admit part of me wanted to take a step into the dangerous land. Just to feel the thrill of adrenaline rush through me like a sugar rush. To defy my now greedy father. After checking for Arkin I take my chance. My foot makes impact with the rocky surface below. The old cement and tar crunches beneath my feet. "Hello Faction Impermissus."

I was actually inspired write this story by looking at some comments in the story "Wings Of Fire As Humans" by 19240mms. please don't criticize me too much because this is my first story.
