Jace didn't ask for a roommate. He definitely didn't ask for Brandon Hayes. Brandon is loud, blunt, annoyingly perfect at everything he does, and worst of all-he acts like Jace is the problem in the room. Jace prefers it that way. Less talking. Less noticing. Less getting too close. Even though he dresses in bright colors, he prefers to be unnoticed. But in Room 12B, silence doesn't stay comfortable for long. Not when arguments turn into habits. Not when habits turn into awareness. And definitely not when accidental touches start feeling less accidental every time they happen. They were supposed to hate each other. It's just getting harder to remember why.
