This follows the story of Akeli Vierra and her friends. It is the year 2012 and the world around them is erupting into chaos as Fathoms, magical beings, are being blamed for a surge of attacks against common folk. Cambridge, a school for the gifted and Akeli's home, is at the centre of the storm when evidence condemns them. Now all Akeli needs to do is save her race, the world, and deal with all the normal things a teenage girl must. Sounds easy, right?

{Previously "My Heart in the Player's Hands"} Elena and Jeremy. The chemistry between the two had been there since grade school. As they age though, Jeremy takes on the characteristics of a player. Elena won't admit to him that he has her heart, but she can't seem to allow herself to get close to him. Follow them in this story of heartbreak, betrayal, and maybe even love in the end.
