Schizophrena Stories

(This is a Warrior Cat story set between Dying Whispers and Soundless Voices, the unwritten sequel) After Dandelionshade's defeat, Hickorypelt struggles to find where his loyalties lie. Of course they were with The Dark Forest, but if he had to choose, would he pick Ashwing or them? His beloved mate slips further into maddness everyday, and Hickorypelt knows that if he doesn't do something, she will be suicidal. Ashwing will kill anyone who she sees, so Hickorypelt must stop her.

'The chosen one will know his path and the one outcast will turn black as the night sky,' Hickorykit is outcast by all around him because he was born with only three legs, his fourth being only a round stump. The only times he's noticed it's when his brother laughs at his strange habits, like muttering to himself, being easily destracted and sobbing in his sleep. But inside, Hickorypaw is breaking, maddening, rotting, dying. His schizophrena threatens him with a black cat with a glowing red eye and glowing red scars across his chest. Rowankit hated his brother from the moment he was born. The three-legged cat didn't deserve anything, couldn't do anything, wasn't worth anything. RiverClan agrees with him, and treats Hickorypaw like dirt, like a bug, like a disease.
