When Team RWBY is assigned an Atlas android for a "collaboration program," everyone reacts differently. Ruby's thrilled. Weiss is skeptical. Blake's cautious. And Yang... Yang can't stop wondering why the robot looks so sad. This is a fan-fiction work using characters and setting from RWBY (Rooster Teeth), not endorsed by Rooster Teeth Productions, LLC.

An alternate take on Weiss Schnee's adventure, continuing immediately after the first episode of Volume 5, running somewhat parallel to the overall arc of the actual series. In this rendition of her world, she cannot stand to abandon another mayday from civilians under attack by the Grimm and she goes off to try and save them on her own. Unfortunately, she doesn't have the strength to win. To make things worse, the knightly armor she has the power to summon fails to come to her aid, and just as she is about to fall to the Grimm surrounding her, something sweeps her off to safety, something far too reminiscent of a glistening suit of knightly armor. Except that this suit of armor has a face. And that face has a name. Author's Note: William Hillphire, a character you will meet in chapter 13, actually belongs to a friend of mine. I wrote his character into this book in collaboration with him. His characterization is almost entirely his own. Check out "Between the Anvil and the Shield" by DarthKirby for a short on Hillphire's adventures while the rest of the cast are making their way to Mistral.

The Solitas Desert would be an unforgiving place to live even without the ever-present threat of bandits and Grimm; it's certainly no place for a new Dust mine, or a growing town like Mantle. To make matters worse, the treatment of the indentured Faunus miners has caused an increase in White Fang attacks. The town's mayor, Jacques Schnee, decided that to protect the town, he'd get the best sheriff money can buy: the renowned gunslinger Y/N L/N. It doesn't take him long to realize that his power is little more than a formality. Schnee's the one who runs things in Mantle. But people listen to gunslingers, Schnee once told him. After Y/N meets the lone survivor of a White Fang attack, the mysterious Blake Belladonna, he realizes that maybe there's some truth to those words. Maybe he and Blake can bring about some change. It's a shame that change often comes with a price.

a group of four soldiers answers a distress call from a planet a good ways away from earth, but this distress call is no human. this distress call was sent out by a marker. how will this world react to the arrival of these people? Atlas is in fact a beautiful but what is happening now is not beautiful. Faunus everywhere were being mistreated and to make things worse, it's gonna be Grimm invaded. It's up to some heroes to make Atlas a better place and safe for everyone.
