As you know, I had been having issues with my coursework and such at the end of my senior year, and with the frenzy of graduating, job search, starting college in July, etc., I haven't had time to sit down and properly immerse myself in this story. thank you for your continued support, and hopefully we can continue this story soon! She had been so close to getting out. Four torturous years wasted under the roof of Split River High School with her neck craned over an outdated textbook and shoulders hunched beneath the immeasurable weight of a backpack. Four blazing hot summers and first quarters of school waking up at the ass crack of dawn, stretching her body to mush on the track before working herself to the bone running drill. Four awkward first days, handfuls of Friday nights wasted on football games and early Saturday mornings spent loading a trailer for competition. Four supposed "best years of her life" all leading up to her bittersweetly earned ending, the accomplishment she had set her sights on immediately upon grasping the paper of her freshman year schedule. If she had known she would die so soon, she would have savoured life a bit more.

Hell is a teenage girl. The opening quote to what would become a cult classic but was underappreciated in its time. A quote from a non-appreciated film, perhaps the most famous ghost film ever: "I see dead people" The Fier name has a bad legacy in Split River. Joel Fier and Wally Clark were good friends, being on the same football team, until September thirtieth, 1983, when Wally's knee buckled and Joel accidentally slammed into him, resulting in Wally's instant death via broken neck. He went from football player to social outcast before October. Twenty-two years later, he had a daughter with the cheer captain and valedictorian of the class of '84, now FBI agent, Elizabeth Cadman. Her parents separated when she was young, and her mother moved to Milwaukee while she stayed in Split River until she was thirteen, and events happened that caused her to move in with her mom. Neither of her parents fully moved on from Wally's death as they both had loved him, so she grew up walking past his picture in the living room each day as they tried to raise her to make sure she would never know the pain and guilt of feeling responsible for the death of someone so dear to her. But nothing could've stopped what happened one month ago. She moved back to Split River after a physically and mentally traumatic incident, her family legacy now having a pattern and knowing exactly how her dad felt after Wally's death. She is the antisocial outcast who has managed to fall back in with her old friends, but she is keeping a secret from them, for everybody. Ever since she woke up from that coma, two weeks before the school year began, she has been able to see ghosts and when she goes to Split River High, she sees the ghost of the boy she has been told about for as long as she can remember but then one of her friends goes missing and ends up stuck at the school with no memory of how she died but Mia can see her. This story takes place after the second season. It was the early morning after Maddie had returned to her body, Janet had told Charlie and Rhonda that she was going to go talk to Mr. Martin who was left in his scar as penance for what he had done to them all. Janet had questions about the things he had said, that there was more of a mystery to this school than even she knew, that there was a reason so many people die at this school. She needed to know what he knew so she decided to go and talk to him only to find Simon standing in Mr. Martin's scar with him.

After it all. After you fall in love. After you witness death. After you die. What happens next? From the outside, Samantha Reighs was perfect. The hallowed halls of Split River High held a lot of secrets, but there were plenty that the students who walked through didn't know about, including that there was a group of spirits haunting them. Fellow students (and one teacher) who'd passed away on the campus and were forever drawn to it. They spanned varying ages and cliques, including a jock from the 80s, a peppy 90s boy, and a studious girl from the 60s. However, there was another spirit from the 90s, Lucy Gellar, and her story was certainly a cautionary tale told by teachers and periodic PSAs performed in the gymnasium, where Lucy died. When a new spirit arrives, she would soon learn the truth as she uncovered her own.

Death had become her. Maxine Baxter had been eighteen with her whole life ahead of her and it only took ten minutes for that life to end. He could remember the first day he had seen her and the day that she had died. Neither of them had been prepared to meet in the afterlife and Maxine Baxter had not been prepared for the storm that newly dead girl, Madison Nears, would bring her way. She was forced to watch the girl accuse her nephew of murder and disrupt the semblance of peace that she had created in her undead life.
