Sixteen-year-old Scott Liman has kept his sexual orientation under the radar. Only certain friends in his group know about his frequent boy-crush fantasies and sketches of shirtless Legolas - and that's enough for him. Until Eli, the star of his daydreams, unexpectedly asks Scott to be his roommate for the Model UN trip to Paris, making him question just how under the radar he wants to stay.
Before the conference, the two bond over their love of French pastries, velociraptors, and Indiana Jones cosplay. Scott falls hard but has no idea if Eli's sweet gestures and unexpected attention toward him are romantic or platonic. As Scott deals with his uncertainty, he debates whether to confess it all and risk their new friendship or continue to hide his feelings and maintain the status quo. While Scott haphazardly navigates this, his two closest confidants are being anything but helpful, a picture-perfect cheerleader is threatening his happily ever after, and his best friend is slowly pushing him to his limits... all of whom are going on this trip too - awesome.
While in Paris, Scott decides to actively avoid all his ever-present social frictions... because that always works out well. He gets caught up in sightseeing, mock debate, delicious crêpes, and increasingly magical moments with Eli. The boy is just so freakin' adorable in his formal attire. But with every lingering glance and that one surprising touch, Scott realizes he can't keep his feelings bottled up for much longer. Now, with all his problems threatening to collide at any moment, he must decide if it's time to speak his truth to Eli - and everyone else - or to stuff another crêpe in his mouth and just swallow his feelings. C'est la vie.
