This story is about a 14 year old girls life in school. She experiences new feelings for different people but not just boys. She also has drama with her friends and problems with crushes. She is an 8th Grader with problems that many "8th Graders" will experience.

That is, until his girlfriend Emma moves and decides to break up with him. Now, it's the start of junior year, and Austin is ready to get back in the game. But what happens when a new girl, named Annabelle, catches his eye? She's mysterious and beautiful. Even though Austin's friend's look for the "hot" girls, there's no doubt that he is charmed by the gorgeous Annabelle. But what happens when Austin and his friends play a game of Dare and his friends dare him to approach Annabelle? Austin's friends think she's dorky and a little too mysterious. So will Austin listen to his friends and go along with the dare, or will Annabelle steal his heart for real?
