Prince Alexander is the crown Prince of Illèa, although he is having a selection to find his future queen he isn't interested in love, always shutting himself out from others. Until a certain girl appears in his life. The rebels, whether north or south have one goal, to eliminate the caste system. To obtain Gregory Illèas diaries, and destroy the monarchy and rise to be the once great country of America. Adeline Porter, a normal girl that never in her life expected to be noticed and especially by the prince. Along with 34 other girls she will fight for the heart of the stubborn Alexander Schreave, but instead she's fighting for something beyond more important than love.

This is the sequel to the Addition. It is not required to read it but there are several references to it. This series is based off of The Selection by Kiera Cass.
