The story is based on the animated series *RWBY*. He does not hail from Remnant; he is neither a Huntsman nor a villain-he is a mercenary named Alex, a man of few words valued by his clan for his utility. His mission is to fulfill a contract: not only to save Vale and the Academy but also to sabotage Cinder Fall's objectives before she can carry them out. The question shifts from what he is doing to who sent him to do it.
